This morning I watched the last episode of season 1 Game of Thrones, that’s 10 out of the last 24hrs spent watching this series. Uh oh.
I wasn’t going to continue like this today though as I’d all ready convinced myself that I was to watch the F1 Grand Prix live. Nat gave me a lift into town, she was meeting up with Rose to join a ‘March on March‘ demonstration against the current PM Tony Abbott. From Flinders St I walked to Albert Park, got my ticket and joined the fray.
So before the race had started I watched three motorbikes spinning around inside the Globe of Death, ate some fish & chips, seen Tony Hawk pulling some moves on the half pipe but rarely finishing cleanly and constantly being shown up by the younger participants, bought beer just in time for the RAAF Roulettes to fly over my head with a fighter jet not long after then a Qantas passenger jet flew over, all go in the skies.
I stood at corner 11 for the race (seating would have been welcomed) where there was a big screen to see what was going on elsewhere, this corner seen some action though when a cars tyre came off. I overheard comments that the cars weren’t as loud this year because they have reduced the engine size, I would agree as Coulthard’s laps on Thursday were much louder. Roughly 60 laps later, a bunch of cars out (2 at the very first corner) and an Aussie in second place, the race was over and the crowd chuffed.
Walked home then watched some episodes of Game of Thrones, haha. I’m not working tomorrow as the kit we are installing hasn’t arrived so there is nothing to do, hopefully Tuesday.
[Yes I know there is a massive lack of photo’s, I’m crap at that, BUT to be fair I’d rather watch what I’m seeing than take photo’s of it… if that makes sense.]
